On September 22^nd, Channing Frye came to CUHK-Shenzhen and met with fans in the Sports Hall.

In wide cheers Channing Frye greeted fans around. At the beginning of the activity, Prof. Gu sent a Chinese fan to Channing Frye. It was the ink work of the President Xu. In return, Channing Frye exchanged gifts with Longgang Broadcasting Tourism and Sports Bureau and the CUHK-Shenzhen. He signed his name on two basketballs.

In calligraphy show, Dr. Liu from HSS and Guo Shibo and Qin Jin demonstrated a work of calligraphy and send it to Channing Frye.

Three-point shooting game was fabulous. Zhang Peng, SSE, Muse won the game in the final match. Later, Channing Frye also joined in the game and shot basketball with students. He sent his autographed photo to the winner Zhang. 

In Q&A session, fans raised many questions. When talked about the most unforgettable match in his career, Channing Frye said it was the seventh match between the Warriors and Cavaliers in 2016. He added that the Warriors is a great team with lots of excellent basketball players. “When I came back home, tears run down on my face.” Though at that time we were at the disadvantage stage, however, through unity and cooperation, we still won that game. 

When asked how to improve shooting rate, he said directly: practice. He also mentioned flexibility on the court. He said every day, shooting for more than 500 times can help. In the final session of the fans meeting, Channing Frye tipped off the basketball of the third Freshmen Cup of CUHK-Shenzhen. After fierce competition, Li Wenzhe, SME, Shaw led his team against the Harmonia College and won the game at 57:46. Well-done!
