Sports Scholarship
Preface
Since 2001, the Chinese University of Hong Kong has established the Athletes Scholarship Scheme to encourage Hong Kong Team members, Hong Kong Youth Team members or elite athletes from the academic community to study and train in the excellent environment of CUHK.
Objective
- Improve the opportunity for elite athletes to enter middle school.
- Enhance the strength of the school team and strive for success in the local and international sports competitions.
- To help athletes develop evenly in academic and sports activities, and promote the concept of "balanced education" in universities.
- We should strengthen the links between universities and academies and jointly promote the development of sports in China and the United States.
- Improve the sports atmosphere and enhance the morale and solidarity of the sports teams.
Plan Content
- There are two types of scholarships:
- The excellence sports scholarship is HK $fifty thousand per year. The outstanding sports scholarship is HK $ten thousand per year.
- The outstanding sports scholarship is HK $ten thousand per year. Scholarship athletes must be assessed once a year.
- Scholarship athletes must be assessed once a year. Those who perform well in sports and achieve a specified level of academic performance can continue to be awarded scholarships and accommodation in the coming year.
Application Qualification
- Members of the active Hongkong team;
- Members of the active Hongkong youth team; Hongkong academy or outstanding athletes studying outside Hongkong;
- Before the athletic performance was excellent, Hongkong team or youth representative team;
- Members of the active Hongkong youth team。
Application Method
Applicants are required to download and fill in theapplication formin accordance with the admission procedure of the admission section of CUHK. Copies of the application form and the documents listed below in thepast two yearssubmitted to the Sports Department of CUHK by mail or in person. (application form guidelines)
- Certificate of education / academic achievement certificate or other professional qualification certificate.
- A certificate of athletic performance or a certificate of participation in various sports competitions.
- Recommendation of the Sports Federation
